I live on the south coast of England and it is many years since I lived in Macclesfield, when my father was Deputy Clerk to the Council at Bollington. My interest is in genealogy and my ancestry mainly in Macclesfield. I have found a Charles Mornington Albinson, who in 1928 was a coal depot manager living at 'Greenland' Grimshaw Lane Bollington. Can anyone point me in the direction of research of this. I understand that there was a small low grade coal mining area at Kerridge; gasworks and railway at Bollington. Thanks.

I have tracked HAYES ancestors and other family to Bollington, 1841 to 1881 and beyond. Descendents of James, born in Radcliffe Lancs about 1791. Happy to share information. On Henshall Rd in 1881 ('Ebenezer Cottages', I wonder if they are still there, I don't know the area !)

Hi, My grandmother was born in Bollington in 1885. Her name was Lizzie ROBERTS and was born in High Street. She was the daughter of James and Margaret ROBERTS. In 1891 they give their address as Defiance Street and in 1895 James dies in Oldham Street. Lizzie's siblings were Annie, Sarah Ann (Minnie), Mary Ellen (Nellie), James and Florrie. Would love any more information on this family.
